An Interhouse Food platter competition was organised. Students exhibited the skills to prepare various food items and display them. The participants were judged on the basis of  table layout, selection of recipe, nutritional value, serving etc.
The participants took part in the competition with a lot of enthusiasm and performed very well. The competition was found very impressive & interesting. All the students delivered  their best with great confidence. A lot of excitement was visible in the students when they were tasting each others dishes.
The first position was bagged by Raavi House, Second position  by Jhelum House and third position by Chenab house.

    The 70th Independence Day was celebrated in the school campus with great patriotic fervor.The celebrations began with the unfurling of the national flag by the Principal Ms Sangeeta Kain followed by the national anthem.
    The spectacular band performance was a  treat for one and all.
    The feeling of patriotism reverberated with the rendering of a patriotic song by a group of students. The captivating dance performances by the young students of Shiksha Kendra and the main branch undoubtedly instilled in the audience the spirit of patriotism.
    The English poem and the  Hindi speech were well articulated by Parvati Nair( XI )and Prianshy Duchania(X).
    The Principal Ms. Sangeeta Kain addressed the audience and urged one and all to be the change they wish to see.
    Certificates and trophies were awarded to the meritorious students for excellence in academics (grade X and XII  2016).
    The celebrations drew to a close after the vote of thanks was delivered by the school Head Boy .

        On 11 th August 2016, the tiny tots of classes Nursery – II celebrated Independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The Independence Day programme was presented by the students created an ambience of patriotism.
        The children made an honest effort in reminding everyone about the freedom fighters who laid down their lives and contributed in the independence struggle.They also spoke about the significance of our national symbols - Indian Flag, Lotus, Tiger, Mango and Peacock.The students of choir group sang the patriotic song that coloured everybody in the colour of patriotism.
        The kids became knowledgeable about the various things that our country gives us and also learnt the ways to take care of it. To put their words into action the kids ran a plantation drive under the leadership of the Principal and the Headmistress.
        Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to symbolize love and respect for our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.

          The students of class IV enthusiastically participated in the ISA project based on theme of food and climate of different countries. They wrote an essay on why people in cold countries prefer less spicy food than people in warmer countries. The students engaged themselves into detailed research and write detailed and well analysed essays.The countries researched wereIndia, UK, China and German. The students collected information through different sources. They read books related to the food and climate of these countries.

              The students of class V completed the ISA Project successfully.   ...Events

              The students of class V completed the ISA Project successfully. They made scrapbooks and PPTs. They quite liked the idea and the even parents loved it, since they were quite at home with anything arty and creative and preparing their own presentations. The students had a skype session for the collaboration on the topic with Apple International Dubai. The sharing of knowledge resulted in an enhanced results.

                An ISA activity on the topic Amazing plants and trees was conducted for the students of grade IX and X. The activity included decoration of the soft boards and making scrap books and creating their own green dictionary on topics which gave students an insight into the amazing world of plants. The activities extended through the  months of April to July.
                Students displayed their creativity on the soft boards.

                      An Inter-House “Animation in Flash” Competition was organized for Class VI to VIII in the I.T.Lab on August 5th, 2016. Houses were given a task to prepare an animated Flash presentation on the theme; “Road Safety and Traffic Rules”. 
                      Satluj House was declared Winner, Yamuna house bagged the II place followed by Jhelum house that was declared III.
