In a solemn ceremony, held on 29 th April 2017, students from Classes VI-IX were awarded scholar badges as recognition of their outstanding academic merit and excellence for the year
2016-17. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp, followed by a melodious performance by the school choir. The Principal formally welcomed the gathering and gave the  message to the young scholars to keep striving so that the banner of Delhi Public School, Jaipur flies high. This ceremony is one of the most anticipated traditions of all schools, when gleaming enthusiasm and the triumphant spirit of the young scholars can be seen and felt. Parents of the young scholars were also invited who proudly witnessed their wards receiving their honours. 

Students who were awarded scholar badges for three years were awarded the Scholar Gown as a hallmark of true academic genius. In addition to this, the Gold Medals, Subject Proficiency and Full Attendance Awards were also given to the meritorious students. The Scholar Badge Ceremony ended with the National Anthem and was a grand success.

    Final Match of Inter House Football Sr. Boys (Grade IX-XII) was played today between Raavi House and Yamuna House. 
    Yamuna House won the match by 2-0.
      On the occasion of “WORLD DANCE DAY” an Inter House International Folk Dance competition held in school on April 28,  2017 for the classes IX – XII. All the 6 houses were given different International folk dance styles of world wide which they performed with all their hard work and great effort. Principal Ma’am appreciated the efforts put in by the students. Students also performed with all zest and zeal to make it a great success. The event was judged by Ms. Seema Birani and Ms. Nidhi Yadav. All the students in audience also enjoyed the performances and fully supported their respective houses with all their cheerings.

         a talk show was conducted by Dr. Anshu Dandia for students of grades XI-XII (Science). She spoke about principles and applications of Green Chemistry. She discussed the use of Microwaves, Ultrasound and Infra Red radiations in Green Technology. Dr Dandia was kind enough to extend an invitation to students interested in Nanotechnology to visit the lab in Rajasthan University where such technologies are being used.

          “Take care of Earth and she will take care of you.”


          Earth Day is a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciate the earth’s natural environment.To sensitize the students  for the same and to know about the importance of Mother Earth

           in our survival the Ev.S. department organized the activity “ Straight From My Heart”  on 20th April 2017.

          Different topics like Traffic Rules, Conserve Water, Healthy Food, Save trees were given to classes III, IV & V respectively to present a street play. The students very enthusiastically participated in the activity and enacted it very effectively as it was a mass participation in all the classes and all the students got a chance to be a part of the play.


          The activity was a great success as it encouraged everyone to be a part of nature and could reach to these vulnerable issues very effectively. Head Mistress Ms. Anjali Massey  appreciated the efforts put in by the students and encouraged the students to be a part of this campaign and work to save the ‘’blue planet ‘’ our earth .

            Children are great imitators, so give them something to imitate”

            Today on 21st April,2017 the students of pre primary wing at DPS Jaipur were thrilled and happy to see their friends performing a puppet show titled ‘Joyful pals’, based on the fact that over eating is not good for health. A presentation based on different kinds of puppets like, stick puppet, hand puppet, rod puppet were showcased and explained to the children.

            The enactments were interactive and helped the children learn about healthy food habits. The presentation of the puppet show was done with the help of song and music which were not only melodious but also rhythmic. The children enacting as puppets were very confident and explained their friends that over eating is injurious to health. The same was well perceived   by the students who applauded the performance and took an oath that they would follow the healthy food habits to remain healthy.

              On Thursday, 13 th April 2017, an Inter Class Poster Making Competition was organized for classes III - V. The themes given to each class was in line with the forth coming Earth Day, on 22 nd April 2017, which were as follows:

              Class III Save Trees

              Class IV Water Conservation

              Class V Care for the environment

              100% participation of students from classes III, IV & V was kept mandatory. All the class teachers were advised to surf Google and help the children with innovative ideas. Children came out with brilliant and innovative ideas. As instructed all the posters were made beautifully with suitable slogans on them. Children were successful in delivering their message to save trees, nature and endangered animals to take care of the Earth’s environment and to conserve water.

              It was a sheer delight to watch children’s creativity. Principal, Mrs. Sangeeta Kain motivated and congratulated all the participants.  
                On the occasion of WORLD HEALTH DAY, students of classes Nursery – II were made aware of the importance of health and a special Yoga and Meditation session was organised at DPS Jaipur.

                Students were prepared for the session by showing videos related to different yoga poses which they could also relate with different alphabets e.g. Alphabet B teaches us butterfly pose.  The Yoga and Meditation session included different yoga and meditation exercises to keep the young generation free from ailments and to make them strong physically and mentally. The students were enlightened on the importance of Yoga in their lives and also the role it plays in keeping the mind and body fit for a healthy future. The yoga session was conducted by Mr. Yogesh, the school yoga instructor and Ms. Richa Pareek which was based on some yoga postures and few breathing exercises. 

                Children also made Yoga badges and promised to continue performing yoga and meditation practices to stay healthy.
