Life is autumn. Life is spring. Life may not be perfect. But it does dance and sing. Life is a rainbow with beauty within. Let us not choose only the violet and leave out the pink.
Each stage of life is a joy to be cherished. Depicting the various stages of life, DPS Jaipur celebrated its Annual Function ‘Pratibimb……..Reflection of Life’, on Sunday, the 23 October, 2016 amidst great zest, vibrance and elation. Shri Rajendra Singh Rathore, Homourable Minister, Medical & Health Services of Rajasthan was the esteemed Chief Guest. Shri Ravi Jaipuria, Member, Management Committee, DPS Jaipur was the Guest of Honour.
The function was presided over by Ms Dhara Jaipuria, Pro Vice Chairperson, DPS Jaipur. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest, escorted by the other dignitaries and the Director, Mr K. B. Kain.
The school orchestra gave a scintillating performance – ‘Rhythm of Life’. The melodious chanting of the shlokas by the students at the onset made the occasion auspicious.
The Principal formally welcomed the eminent guests by presenting saplings. In her speech, she expressed her firm belief in academics and co-curricular activities being the base for an all round development and growth of the students.
The Pro Vice Chairperson, Mrs Dhara Jaipuria in her address expressed her satisfaction that her vision for DPS Jaipur is being carried forward successfully in the able guidance of its Director, Principal and their team.
The Chief Guests released the school Souvenir. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony where the Honourable Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the meritorious students who attained excellence in various fields. He congratulated the students and motivated them through his inspiring words.
Shri Ravi Jaipuria, Member, Management Committee, DPS Jaipur also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of hard work and perseverance in life.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Kulbhushan Kain, the Director, DPS Jaipur. He thanked everybody for making the event a great success. The evening was made more colourful with the presentation of ‘Pratibimb……… a reflection of Life’ where the students of each class gave their performances with grace and perfection and got a big round of applause. The entire programme was planned, conducted and coordinated by the students under the mentoring and grooming of teachers.
The programme culminated with the recital of National Anthem leaving the thrilling memories in the hearts of each and everyone present there

      Daan Utsav Week

      ‘A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal’
      Charity is an integral part of every community as it brings harmony by bridging the gap between the fortunate in life and the less fortunate ones. To inculcate this feeling of joy of giving among the students, Delhi Public School had organized a Daan Utsav Week from October 03, 2016 to October 08, 2016. 
      Day 1: October 03, 2016
      Students of class VI visited Mother Teresa Home and donated bathing soaps and toothpaste to the needy. Also the hostellers visited Prem Niketan where they interacted with the people staying there and gifted them fruits.
      Day 2 & Day 3: October 04, 2016- October 05, 2016
      Students of class VII and VIII visited the Mother Teresa home and donated items such as detergent soap, poha, hair oil and sugar.
      Day 4: October 06, 2016
      12 students of class III to V visited the Mother Teresa Home .The students of class V collected Parle G biscuits, Class IV Rusks and Class III Daliya for them. 
      Day5: October 07, 2016
      A visit to Surman Sanstha, an orphanage was organized for the students of classes Prep to II during school hours. The packets of Rusk & Namkeen were collected by the students of Nursery to II for the children of orphanage. Few parents were also invited to be part of Daan Utsav at Surman Sanstha. All the parents also donated some or the other amount and few other things. Parent of Anay Saxena (class I B) got not only 20 new dresses but also gave Rs 1100/-. 
      Day6: October 08, 2016
      The Daan Utsav week concluded with a blood donation camp organized in collaboration with Rotary Club Royal, Jaipur from 9 am to 2 pm where Administrative and Academic staff along with the parents voluntarily donated blood. The blood donation drive was organized in association with Sevayatan Hospital.The parents, administrative and academic staff came together to participate with great enthusiasm and deepened social awareness among them. 70 units blood was collected. Donors were given refreshments and a certificate of appreciation for this service to humanity.
