Delhi Public School Jaipur organized a G.K Quiz for the students of classes Nursery – 2 on Friday, August 31, 2018.

Children were given G.K Handouts two weeks before the activity. Facts from various areas of general knowledge like environment, body and health, sports, celebrities and leaders, self-awareness, country, state and city and school were given in the handouts. Children were given the practice of the handouts in the class by the teachers.

    Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. To honour them DPS Jaipur,organised ‘Gratitude towards Grandparents: Showcasing Creativity’activity for classes III-V on 16thAugust’18.


    The aim of the activity was not only to make students more experimental & innovative but also to give them an opportunity to express their love and gratitude towards their grandparents.

    In this activity, students of Classes III & IV made beautiful wall hangings and pasted their grandparent’s photo. Class V students made colourfulpen stands with their grandparents photograph on the same,as a symbol of their sincere gratitude for everything their grandparents have done for them. Students were amazed to see how easily they can make useful things out of waste material.

    The students had a splendid time and enjoyed each and every moment of the activity.

      DPS JAIPUR organized an activity ‘Glory of Nation- Tour of India’ for the students of classes Nursery – 2.The activity was scheduled for three days, details of which are as follows:

      14th August 2018 – Watching a PPT on India (map, culture, national symbols, monuments, leaders)

      16th August 2018 – Relishing the taste of India – Students brought food of different regions of India, relished it and spoke about it.

      20th August 2018 – Tour of India Exhibition, Booklet


        “Poem recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the latent talents of the young ones”


        A Poem Recitation Competition for class 3 was organised on 09 August, 2018 at DPS Jaipur. Beauty is the realm of the poetry, the children enjoy the beauty of expression,thoughts, feeling, rhyme and music of words.Taking all these facts into consideration the children of Grade 3 got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence.Each class came up with different poems on the topic ‘Patriotism’ and recited them with great zeal and enthusiasm.The students left no stone unturned to win for their class.


        The judges appreciated and applauded the performance of the participants and the feeling of patriotism filled the air with love and respect for our motherland.


        Headmistress Ms Anjali Massey encouraged the students and appreciated their effort.

          Poem recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the latent talents of the young ones. Rhymes can prove to be an instrumental stepping stone for young children to develop their verbal skills and confidence.

          Keeping this in mind, an English Group Poetry Recitation Competition was organized on Friday, 10thAugust 2018, at DPS Jaipur for classes Nursery – II.

          The activity was an InterClass Competition for classes 1 and 2 while classes Nursery and Prep participated in the poem recitation with beautiful expressions and actions.

          The theme of the competition was ‘Our Country – India’.

          The enthusiastic participants expressed varied culture and traditions of our country and focussed on unity in diversity.

          In class 1, class I A won the competition and in class II, class II B won the competition.

          The Headmistress ma’am appreciated the performances of the participants and encouraged them to participate more in such competitions.


            Inter House Movie Making competition was organised in IT lab.

            The topic for movie making was Water Conservation and all the houses actively participated in it.

            In this competition Satluj house acquired 1st position followed by Raavi house on 2nd and Jhelum house on 3rd position

              “Better Late than Never”
              There is a need to generate Traffic Awareness and place a mirror in front of everyone to limelight the general road behaviour displayed by us. Right to life and safety is the basic right of any citizen of a country.

              To create awareness and spread this message the students of Class V of DPS Jaipur gave thought provoking performances through ‘Nukkad Natak’ (Street Play) based on the theme “Road Safety” on Thursday, 2nd August 2018.
              The message they gave was loud and clear that the specified Traffic rules should be abided to ensure safety of those plying on the road. The children pledged to follow everything they preached through their plays, to become worthy citizens of a country.
